A total of 475 new cases of COVID-19 were registered this Wednesday, March 10, according to the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in her account of the social network Twitter.
She specified that of that figure, 472 are for community transmission, and 3 are imported: two from Panama and one from the Dominican Republic, all with entry through the state of Carabobo.
She pointed out that this last record raises the total number of infections to 143.796, while the rate of recovered remains at 94 percent of total cases, registering 135.869 people recovered.
With regard to community infections, she indicated that the most affected entity is Caracas with 202 cases, followed by Miranda with 92 and Carabobo with 28.
Cases were also presented in Zulia (26), Bolívar (23), Monagas (22), La Guaira (17), Anzoátegui (14), Yaracuy (10), Aragua (8), Nueva Esparta (7), Apure (5 ); Barinas and Sucre (4 each); Lara, Táchira and Portuguesa (3 each); Trujillo (1).
The vice president announced the death of 8 Venezuelans as a result of the outbreak, bringing the number of fatalities to 1.407. They are: 2 men aged 60 and 58 in Anzoátegui; 2 men of 76 and 86 years old in Lara; 1 73-year-old man in Caracas; 1 35-year-old man in Guárico; 1 67-year-old man in Aragua; and 1 49-year-old man in Los Roques
So far there are 143.796 confirmed cases, of which 6.520 are active cases.
