Under the slogan Long live the Venezuelan student!, this Monday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, swore in the new leadership of the Venezuelan Federation of Secondary Education Students (FEVEEM), as part of the activities carried out for the celebration of the National Student Day.
From the spaces of the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, and with the presence of delegations from the XIX Congress of Latin American and Caribbean Students (CLAE), the national President swore in the new leadership of this student structure, which is made up of Valentina Ríos as president of FEVEEM, and Michelle Delgado as vice president, reports Presidencial Press.
The Head of State explained that the 26th edition of CLAE will take place until November XNUMX in Venezuela to discuss issues such as confronting the commodification of education, gender policies, neoliberal policies and alliances in Latin America. as an integration mechanism.
“All this earth, all this sky, all this space belongs to you, the Great Homeland belongs to you (…) our generation was hit by the denial of the right to education and fundamental rights to youth and students, who was chasing the students. Today you have in your hands a great power, a great possibility from your student and youth effort to build a different, supportive, happy Homeland. Build a new school for the socialist society so that it is human”.
