Comuneros promote communal cities

Neighbors of the community organized themselves in work tables

"In the Sucre municipality there are 63 communes, in the five parishes that make up the jurisdiction, whose spokespersons have started a series of assemblies and working groups, to promote communal cities, through which we will have a greater participation at different levels of government, with the goal of improving the quality of life of citizens ”.

The statements correspond to Yesith Cantillo, spokesman for the block of communes of the Sucre municipality and the socialist commune 4 de Febrero, which was created in the Petare area.

“The community members support the proposal of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, regarding the creation of 200 communes, which must be active for the Bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo, through whose organizations of Popular Power we will be able to have more participation in the political, economic and social areas, and it will also give us the authority to start a fight against bureaucracy and corruption, ”said Cantillo.

He pointed out that in the Sucre municipality the community members have advanced their field work with the spokesmen of the communal councils, with which they have managed to classify the problems of the different sectors, and have also worked on the solutions that can be applied.

"We also support the creation of the University of the Communes, and other spaces for study, because the neighbors, the community members, we need spaces for training, to know, analyze and know the scope of the different laws," said Cantillo .
The mayor of the Sucre municipality, José Vicente Rangel, pointed out that this entire process of community organization has the support of the mayor's office, the authorities of the Municipal Council, led by councilor Gustavo Prieto, deputy Gabriela Chacón, as well as the Government of the Miranda state and the national government.

"We have already begun a series of meetings with the members of the commune block of the Caucagüita parish, where we installed the work tables," he said.

He commented that in the Sucre municipality the swearing in of the authorities of the University of the Communes was carried out and it is expected to install training spaces in all the communes and in the mission bases.
