Cantv installs fiber optics in the Campo de Carabobo tourist walk

Cantv carries out in Campo de Carabobo, Valencia, installation work of 2,5 km of optical fiber. The objective is to optimize the fixed telephone service and guarantee Internet with 100 Mbps speed to institutions of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and visitors to the historical monument.

The works are executed by the technical and specialized teams of the Company in the entity. These contemplate the laying and splicing of aerial and underground networks, and also the installation of Wi-Fi antennas in various sectors that make up the cultural and tourist walk.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the connectivity service on the tourist route. This is made up of the Arch of Carabobo, the Simón Bolívar Museum, the main viewpoint, the battlefield, the Presidential Tribune and various service areas.

The fiber optic connection in these spaces seeks to promote access to knowledge about the history of Venezuela in children and youth. Additionally, it offers a cutting-edge technological platform to promote tourist activity in this monument and in the region.

Similarly, these tasks are framed in the various rehabilitation works that are underway, through articulation by various institutions of the Venezuelan State, regarding the Plan 200 Carabobo and the commemorative acts of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo.

Cantv, attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology, reiterates its commitment to work in coordination with the other institutions of the Venezuelan State to guarantee the people greater access to telecommunications services.
