The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this Monday that Venezuela reports 925 new infections by covid-19 in the last 24 hours, 867 from community transmission and 58 from people from abroad: 23 citizens who entered the country from Panama , 14 from Mexico, 12 from the Dominican Republic and 09 from Turkey.
The vice president using her account on the social network Twitter explained that the new community cases were captured in: Caracas 142, Miranda 128, Yaracuy 107, Monagas 86, Bolívar 74, La Guaira 66, Lara 59, Aragua 52, Sucre 37, Apure 37, Zulia 36, Falcón 12, Barinas 10, Nueva Esparta 07, Amazonas 05, Carabobo 04, Mérida 03, Guárico 01 and Cojedes 01.
Caracas is the entity with the highest number of cases this Monday: El Valle 25, Sucre (Catia) 20, Altagracia 15, San Bernardino 12, San Agustín 11, La Vega 08, San Juan 07, La Pastora 07, El Paraíso 06, San Pedro 05, Caricuao 04, Antímano 04, El Recreo 03, Car 03, La Candelaria 02, San José 02, Santa Rosalía 01, El Junquito 01, Santa Teresa 01 and 23 January 01.
Likewise, Rodríguez reported the death of 17 patients as a result of complications from covid-19: 02 women of 63 and 82 years old and 2 men of 59 and 36 years old - Anzoátegui, 01 man of 58 years - Nueva Esparta, 01 woman of 70 years and 01 man of 77 years - Táchira, 01 man of 28 years - Cojedes, 01 woman of 61 years and 02 men of 56 and 68 years - Caracas and 05 men of 70, 72, 47, 66 and 81 years and 01 woman 64 years old - Sucre. With these figures, Venezuela reaches a cumulative total of 1.795 deaths from the pandemic.
On the other hand, they reported that to date in the country there has been a cumulative 175.812, 158.399 recovered patients which represents (90%) and currently 15.618 people remain active with the virus receiving treatment.
Similarly, Rodríguez made reference to the meeting held between President Nicolás Maduro and representatives of the World Health Organization for what he wrote on the social network: “Today we accompany Pdte. @NicolasMaduro in an important videoconference with the General Director of @WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom; the Director of @opsoms, Dra. Carissa F. Etienne, and representatives of #GAVI, to advance access to vaccines for our people through #COVAX ”.
Finally, the senior executive officer recalled that this Monday began the week of flexibility within the 7 + 7 method. “We started the week of economic and safe easing as part of the successful 7 + 7 method.
