Venezuela reported 1.346 new cases and 14 deaths from covid-19

The Sectorial Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez reported that in the last 24 hours, 1.346 new infections were reported in the country (604 men and 742 women) and 14 deaths from covid-19, raising the number of accumulated cases to 353.401 and 4 the total number of deaths, in 275 days of pandemic.

By offering the customary daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through his account on the social network Twitter @luchaalmada, the also Minister of Communication and Information detailed that so far there are 337.230 ( 95%) recovered persons; 11.896 active cases, of which 11.519 are being treated in the public health system and 377 in private clinics.

Next, Ñáñez pointed out that "to date we have 6.983 patients who are asymptomatic, 4.023 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 747 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 143 in the Intensive Care Unit."

Minister Freddy Ñáñez indicated that community-transmitted infections were detected in 23 states, such as: Miranda (591), Caracas (324), Nueva Esparta (81), Yaracuy (80), Anzoátegui (62), Aragua (39), Monagas (32), Falcón (28), Guárico (22), Lara (21), La Guaira (18), Portuguesa (12), Carabobo (10), Mérida (6), Barinas (5), Sucre (4) , Cojedes (3), Zulia (2), Amazonas (2), Táchira (1), Delta Amacuro (1), Trujillo (1) and Apure (1).

The Minister of Communication and Information asserted that Miranda was the entity that registered the highest number of active cases in 16 of its 21 municipalities: Guaicaipuro (184), Sucre (68), Carrizal (55), Zamora (52), Los Salias (51 ), Chacao (48), Urdaneta (36), Independencia (30), Simón Bolívar (14), Baruta (14), Lander (11), Plaza (10), Cristóbal Rojas (7), Brión (4), Andrés Bello (2) and El Hatillo (1).

The high official affirmed that in the last hours 14 new deaths were counted (5 women and 9 men), according to the following report by States: 6 in Caracas (2 women of 64, 81 years and 4 men of 42, 55, 64 , 70 years); 3 in Anzoátegui (1 57-year-old woman and 2 57, 64-year-old men); 3 in Miranda (1 woman 81 years old and 2 men 45, 47 years old) and 2 in Nueva Esparta (1 woman 74 years old and 1 man 69 years old).

In another tweet, he reiterated that they continue to advance in the vaccination process for the Venezuelan people, highlighting that "if you are over 50 years old and have not been vaccinated, you can go to a center without an appointment."

Finally, he emphasized that "if you are pregnant with more than 15 weeks of gestation, you can attend a vaccination center, without an appointment," as can young people with disabilities over 17 years of age.
