In the last 24 hours, Venezuela detected 459 new infections in the country due to the coronavirus, all by community transmission, reported Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez on her social network Twitter as part of the balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid- 19.
He also added that the Capital District is the entity with the highest number of community cases this Wednesday (167), with active infections in 20 parishes; followed by the states: Miranda (88), Mérida (51) and Zulia (38).
The Vice President also reported that in the last hours, unfortunately 6 people died from this virus:
- 1 72-year-old man and 1 71-year-old woman - Barinas
- 1 69-year-old man - Miranda
- 1 69-year-old woman - Portuguese
- 1 85-year-old woman - Monagas
- 1 75-year-old man - Nueva Esparta
To this date, these are the general statistics of the Coronavirus in Venezuela: - Total infections: 137.445 - Recovered patients: 129.487 (94%) - Current active cases: 6.627 - Total deaths: 1.331.
