For this Friday, abundant clouds with heavy rains are expected, some accompanied by electrical activity and eventual gusts of wind, in areas of Zulia, Central West, the Andes, North Coastal Center, Western and Central Plains, south of Anzoátegui, Amazonas and Bolívar.

While, for the Greater Caracas Cloudy skies with rain or showers and probable stormy activity are estimated, during the early morning and in the morning. The rest of the day will be partly cloudy with rainfall of variable intensity.

Likewise, the Inameh report indicates that accumulated rainfall between 4-50 l/m² and maximums of up to 100 l/m² are expected in Táchira, Barinas and Apure.

The information is derived from daily report of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh), which indicates that the Intertropical Convergence Zone, a meteorological system that governs the rainy season in Venezuela, continues to be very active.

The first tropical wave arrives and brings more rains

Colonel José Pereira, president of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh), reported this Thursday that by 2023 between 55 and 65 tropical waves.

The report indicates that a 25% risk of spreading forest fires remains in Nueva Esparta, Anzoátegui, eastern Guárico, Monagas, Sucre and northern Bolívar.

Regarding the state of the sea, he points out that a strong swell with waves up to 1,5 meters high is estimated in the Orinoco delta. Swells with waves up to one meter high are also expected in the Gulf of Venezuela, the insular region and the rest of the country's coastline.
