On Wednesday, 93 new cases of covid-19 were registered

On the day, two deaths were reported as a result of the virus in the state of Zulia

A total of 93 new cases of covid-19 were detected on Wednesday, June 29 in the country, according to the sector vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez.

He indicated that 3 of the cases are imported, 1 from Panama, 1 from Ecuador and 1 from Turkiye.

With this new figure, the number of accumulated cases amounts to 526 thousand 022, the assets stand at 1.777 and the recovered patients stand at 518 thousand 513, which represents 99% of the infections.

He specified that the community cases of the day were detected in 13 states and are located in: Zulia (30), Bolívar (13), Yaracuy (8), Caracas (8), Guárico (8), Barinas (5), Miranda ( 5), Lara (4), La Guaira (3), Carabobo (3), Anzoátegui (1), Portuguesa (1) and Sucre (1).

Zulia has the highest number of infections in four of its 21 municipalities: Maracaibo (17), Cabimas (7), San Francisco (4) and Miranda (2).

The minister highlighted that two deaths were recorded as a result of the virus in Zulia state, so the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic stands at 732.
