This Monday a new batch of second doses of the Russian Sputnik vaccine arrived in the country, aboard a Conviasa plane, as the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, had announced this Sunday.
In a publication of the official account of the social network Twitter, the diplomatic headquarters of Russia in our country wrote: «Today with the first rays of the sun a new batch of @sputnikvaccine #SputnikV arrived in #Caracas with the second dose 💉 on board from @LAConviasa ».
It should be noted that this Sunday, September 5, President Nicolás Maduro announced this Monday, September 6, this shipment of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against covid-19 would arrive in the territory, after having “solved some problems they had in the production company And already this week, on Monday part of that second dose enters Venezuela and by the end of September the operation of the second dose should be concluded.
Meanwhile, the Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergei Mélik-Bagdasarov, had announced on August 31 that Venezuela would soon receive more doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
Until now, our country has received shipments of the Sputnik V vaccine, since last February when the Government began the vaccination plan against covid-19, after the Government of Venezuela signed an agreement with Russia for the acquisition of the Sputnik V.
It is important to note that Russia was the first country to send the covid-19 vaccine to Venezuela.
On August 18, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez held a telephone conversation with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, whom she thanked Moscow for supporting the control of covid-19. (Sputnik)
