Authorities review progress of the Metro moves with you plan

The strategies of the comprehensive underground recovery plan were evaluated

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a working meeting with authorities from the transport sector and the president of the Caracas Metro where the progress of the El Metro moves with you plan was evaluated.

The plan established by President Nicolás Maduro last September 2021 estimates the recovery of the main mass public transport system in Caracas, in which it is estimated to recover the stations and lines that make up the Caracas Metro system.

Through a videoconference and digital platforms, the vice president spoke with each of the representatives of the government institutions that participate in the process of adapting underground transport, as well as the entities that were called "godfathers" of the system, to which they assigned the adaptation, recovery and maintenance works of each station of the underground system.

The Venezuelan Cement Corporation of the AN, the Simón Bolívar International Airport, the Great Venezuela Bella Mission, the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Immigration (Saime), the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), as well as the Banco de Venezuela, Banco Bicentenario, Banco del Tesoro, PDVSA, Sunagro, Banco Central de Venezuela, Sudeban, among other institutions.

During the day, the progress of the works between 2022 and 2023 was also evaluated.

The authorities speed up the march and monitor the progress of planning projects, urban development programs and rehabilitation of Metro spaces.

As reported by Venezolana de Televisión, the sectoral vice president for Citizen Security and Peace A/J Remigio Ceballos; the Minister of People's Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán; the president of the Caracas Metro, M/G Juan Carlos Du Boulay; the president of Bandes, Héctor Obregón; the plans director of Mission Venezuela Bella, Dulce Medina; among others.

To date, multiple recovery works have been carried out in various stations where escalators have been put into operation again, changing the lighting in the stations, spare parts and recovery of facades, deep cleaning of stations, painting and sanitation of areas, air conditioners in wagons and platforms of some stations, in which recovery work continues.
