477 new cases of covid-19 were registered this Monday

A total of 477 new cases of covid-19 were registered this Monday, February 22, according to the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in her account of the social network Twitter.

He indicated that this new figure raises the total number of infections to 136.545, while the recovery rate remains at 94 percent of all cases, registering 128 people recovered from the disease.

Rodríguez specified that of the 477 infections, 470 are of community transmission and 7 are imported: 5 from Ecuador with entry through the Guaira; 1 from the Dominican Republic also with entry through La Guaira; and 1 from Colombia with entry through the state of Zulia.

The 470 community cases are distributed among 260 women and 210 men, and within these figures are 26 minors.

These cases were reported in the entities Distrito Capital (102), Miranda (98), La Guaira (67), Nueva Esparta (54), Lara (52), Yaracuy (30), Táchira (24), Zulia (13), Aragua (10), Sucre (7), Trujillo (5), Barinas (4), Monagas (3), Carabobo (1).  

It is in the city of Caracas where there is the highest number of infections, in the parishes El Valle (16), Altagracia (10), Sucre (9), Coche (8), San Pedro and La Pastora (7 each); La Vega and Candelaria (6 each); Santa Rosalía (5), El Paraíso, San Juan and El Recreo (4 each); El Junquito and January 23 (3 each); Santa Teresa, Caricuao and Antímano (2 each); Saint Joseph (1). And the state of Miranda follows with 98 cases, in 13 of its 21 municipalities.

Rodríguez also reported the unfortunate death of 4 Venezuelans: 2 men aged 70 and 64 in the Capital District; 1 61-year-old woman in the state of Zulia; and 1 73-year-old man from Miranda state.

As of February 22, a total of 136.545 infections have been registered, 128.579 (94%) recovered patients; 6.646 active cases and 1.320 deaths.
