Yogurt and lemon cake


• ½ cup butter at room temperature

• 1 cup of sugar

• ½ cup of Greek type yogurt

• 3 eggs

• ½ teaspoon of vanilla

• Zest of 1 lemon

• The juice of 1 lemon

• 1 ½ cup all-purpose wheat flour

• ¼ teaspoon baking soda

• 1 teaspoon of baking powder


Heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl we mix the butter together with the sugar with an electric mixer until obtaining a creamy consistency, gradually add the eggs, vanilla, lemon juice, lemon zest and yogurt. In a separate container we combine the flour, the baking soda, the baking powder, sift it and add it little by little to the mixture of the other ingredients. Butter a mold, add flour and remove the excess. We pour the mixture and bake for approximately 35-40 minutes, remove from the oven and let cool.
