Torrejitas

INGREDIENTS
• 1 package of frozen dough discs, small
• 2 cups of sugar
• 1 cup of water
• The peel of a lemon
• A piece of cinnamon stick
• Oil for frying

PREPARATION
In a medium saucepan put the two cups of sugar and the cup of water, the lemon rind and the cinnamon. Bring to a boil over high heat and then lower the flame over medium heat until the consistency of syrup is obtained, remove from the heat and reserve.
Each disc of dough is cut in half, and squeezed in the center to form a loop, we reserve them on a tray and, when they are all ready, we fry them until golden brown. We remove them from the oil and place them on an absorbent paper. At the end of the previous step, we bathe them with the syrup until they are all well covered with it.
