Meatballs in homemade sauce

INGREDIENTS

• 1 kilo of ground beef

• 3 slices of bread soaked in full liquid milk

• 2 eggs

• 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese

• 3 tablespoons of very small chopped parsley

• 1 garlic clove, crushed

• 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

• 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper

• Breadcrumbs to bread the meatballs

• 1/2 cup oil

INGREDIENTS FOR THE SAUCE

• 1/4 cup of vegetable oil

• 3 garlic cloves, crushed

• 1 large onion grated

• 2 cups of tomato without skin or seeds

• 7 basil leaves

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1 small carrot, grated

PREPARING THE MEATBALLS

In a container or bowl, all the ingredients are combined, except the breadcrumbs. Knead well and make the meatballs the size of our preference. They are passed through the breadcrumbs, brown in the hot oil, put on an absorbent paper and set aside.

PREPARATION OF THE SAUCE

In a medium pot or cauldron, pour the oil and add the onion, add the garlic and cook for about seven minutes. Then add the tomato, carrot and salt and cook for seven more minutes. After this, it is removed from the heat and allowed to cool to later liquefy. The mixture is poured back into the cauldron, the meatballs are added and they are put over medium heat; when heated they are ready to serve.
