Granny oatmeal


• 3 cups of water

• 1 cup of rolled oats

• 4 cups of liquid whole milk

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 8 tablespoons of sugar

• 1 piece of cinnamon stick


In a pot, put the water, the oats and the cinnamon stick; they are cooked over medium heat and, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, brought to a boil. Cook until a thick consistency is observed, add the salt, milk and sugar and continue stirring until it becomes thick again, about 8 minutes. It is removed from the heat, the cinnamon is removed and it is served hot.
