Waraos lead consultation on the Law of Communal Cities in Delta Amacuro

This project has in its spirit to break the chains of the Bourgeois state.

In Delta Amacuro, as in the entire country, the installation of the promoter teams was carried out for the consultation of the Organic Law of Communal Cities, the activity was led by the Governor of the state, Lizeta Hernández, the mayor of the Tucupita municipality, Loa Tamaronis, councilors, deputies, parochial political teams, youth and coordinators of the Psuv.

“Delta Amacuro says present despite adversity, despite this pandemic, here we are, because that is how we are the revolutionaries who want to build a better world for everyone. We must discuss, we must debate in all instances of popular power, in the street, with the communal councils, our indigenous peoples, that is how Commander Hugo Chávez wanted it, we are now going to generate proposals for the Bill of Cities. For her part, the mayor of the Tucupita municipality, Loa Tamaronis, indicated that this project has in its spirit to break the chains of the Bourgeois state.

"It is about Chávez's dream, to go towards the constitution of communal cities, and here is the first result, those who are in the National Assembly today working on the first law, we have already started this deployment, we have to go to the streets, to each of the communal councils, to each commune, to do the work, to listen to the people, to take notes, ”said Tamaronis.

The authorities reported that this consultation process will last approximately two months, they called on the youth to fully join in this project.

Kariela Aray, deputy and Vice President of the Indigenous Parliament of America, stated that indigenous peoples also have an important role in this consultation: “Our contribution is vital to guarantee the continuity of the revolution in indigenous territories and that these communal cities have identity from each one of the 42 indigenous peoples of the country, we will listen to all those voices of our brothers and sisters ”.

The deputy Zulaimys Gascón expressed that the participation of popular power is very important: “Once all the data and proposals from the community have been collected, the second discussion of the bill will take place, for subsequent approval, this is a popular government and we will to the radicalization of our sovereignty ”, he said.
