Venezuela registered 593 new infections due to covid-19

The sector vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, reported this Saturday that a total of 593 new cases of covid-19 were detected in the country in the last 24 hours, 578 of community transmission and 15 of people from abroad: 13 from Panama and 02 from the Dominican Republic.

Through his official account on the social network Twitter @luchaalmada, Ñáñez explained that the new community infections are geographically located in: Caracas 225, Miranda 95, Carabobo 78, La Guaira 57, Yaracuy 28, Anzoátegui 25, Aragua 23, Monagas 11, Lara 11, Zulia 08, Portuguesa 07, Bolívar 03, Táchira 02, Cojedes 01, Barinas 01, Nueva Esparta 01, Apure 01 and Guárico 01.

Ñáñez highlighted that Caracas was the entity with the highest number of infections this Saturday with 225 infections in all its parishes: Sucre (Catia) 48, El Recreo 19, Altagracia 19, El Valle 19, Coche 16, Macarao 11, San Juan 10, Caricuao 10, San Pedro 09, El Paraíso 09, 23 de Enero 08, Antímano 06, San Agustín 06, La Pastora 06, Santa Rosalía 05, La Candelaria 04, San José 04, La Vega 04, El Junquito 03, Santa Teresa 02 , Cathedral 01 and San Bernardino 01.

Likewise, the also Minister for Communication and Information reported the death of eight patients from covid-19: 01 woman of 75 and 01 man of 73 years of the state of Miranda, 02 men of 67 and 65 years of Caracas, 02 men of 68 and 70 years from Aragua, 01 33-year-old man from Bolívar state and 01 84-year-old man from Guárico. With these figures, Venezuela reaches a cumulative total of 1.430 deaths from the pandemic.

On the other hand, the official reported that to date in the country there has been a cumulative total of 145.379 confirmed cases, 137.141 people recovered, which represents 94% of infections. We have 6.808 active cases, 6.510 are being treated in the public health system and 298 in private clinics.

Similarly, he noted that 3.851 patients are asymptomatic, 2.359 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 447 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 151 in the Intensive Care Unit.

Until this Saturday in Venezuela 3.006.349 tests have been carried out. Which represents 100.212 tests per million inhabitants.
