Two members of the 325 GD José de Jesús Barreto Field Artillery Group were arrested when they were transporting five cattle in a vehicle, according to military sources.
Those captured are registered as Pedro Alonzo Febres Aillón (lieutenant colonel) and José Miguel Ortiz Tocuyo (sergeant), who were apprehended by the Bolivarian National Guard in the La Morrocoya checking point, San Simón Rural parish, Maturín Monagas state. The military carried two AK-103 rifles with four magazines.
The five cattle (800 kilos) were stolen from the Induagro farm, owned by Orangel Pinto, the source said. They were transported in a BeiBen Truck type vehicle.
The Military Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation.
