Repair work on Sucre Avenue in Caracas advances

A total of 90 tons of hot asphalt will be placed on Sucre Avenue in Caracas, in order to recover the public road, which has been affected by heavy subsidence.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, the head of the Government of the Capital District, Nahúm Fernández, explained that, during the work, 36 square meters of slabs were demolished, which had been placed in the subsidence for several years, in order to cover the sinking.

«We were (with the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez) reviewing all the works of the Plan Patria Bella y Segura. We noticed that you had to review. we have summoned popular power to work together with us. We have received a complaint that every three years it was damaged. We did a thorough evaluation. We did an excavation, we have managed to demolish 36 square meters of slab," Fernández said in an audiovisual material published on his account on the social network.

"We placed a top quality material and we have guaranteed the collation of 90 tons of asphalt to beautify and improve what is the public road," he added.
