Hospital infrastructure rehabilitated in the states of Táchira and Zulia

The rehabilitation of the sanitary infrastructure continues its progress in different regions of the country. This is how this Sunday, during a transmission of the working day of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, headed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, established contacts with regional authorities to confirm progress of different works of the health system.

The Protector of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, presented the rehabilitation of the operating rooms of the San Cristóbal Oncological Hospital, as well as the recovery of two ambulances for the care of the Andean population.

"We are showing several victories in the comprehensive recovery of operating rooms through the application of epoxy paint and air conditioning in the hospital," said Bernal in a contact with President Maduro.

He stressed that the work was carried out with the joint work between the Ministry of Popular Power for Public Works, Hidrosoeste, the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor and the Protectorate with the purpose of addressing the rehabilitation also of the Pediatric area of ​​the hospitals: San Antonio del Táchira and Coloncito.

"We continue to show that despite the criminal economic war against our people and the blockade led by the United States government, we continue to battle and win victories," Bernal emphasized.

On the other hand, the governor of the state of Zulia, Omar Prieto, exhibited the rehabilitation of six modern pavilions in the General Hospital of the South of Maracaibo, for the surgical care of patients of this health center, as well as the recovery work of the Oncology of the state Zulia "Doctor Humberto Fernández Morán", in the capital of Zulia.

"A work of 1.200 square meters of construction that have been rehabilitated (...) We are talking about an Oncology unit that serves almost the western part of the country," he said, while explaining that the "equipment was out of operation for 2 and a half years. from the attack on the electrical system and the economic system, but they are already 100% operational ”.
