Thanks to the articulated work between the Venezuela Bella Mission, the Government of Aragua and the Presidential Commission for the recovery of the facilities of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), this week they got down to work on the comprehensive rehabilitation of this university campus. in the Maracay Campus, where the faculties of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine operate, with which they hope to guarantee appropriate spaces for the development of the classes whose start is scheduled for next September 19.
The president of Vías de Aragua, Jacqueline Castellanos, explained that the works include the recovery of all priority areas for the restart of academic activities within the campus, such as the dining room, student welfare office, central classrooms, main auditorium and building. from laboratory; as well as the rehabilitation of facades, bathrooms and waterproofing of the main auditoriums.
"The government is in charge of weeding, green areas, demarcation, patching, public lighting and the review of all drinking water wells," said the official regarding the process of conditioning and modernization of said university structure.
For his part, the engineer Carlos Trejo, who is the director of Monitoring and Execution of Works of the Venezuela Bella Mission, highlighted the encouragement and willingness of both the student population and the teaching and administrative staff of the university, who have joined to recovery actions.
This was confirmed by the president of the Student Center of the Faculty of Agronomy, Armando Machado, who reflected on the evident state of deterioration of the Maracay Campus: “We are excited to see the progress of the works. It is something that we had been waiting for a long time after seeing the constant deterioration of our campus, especially after two years of the pandemic where we could not attend our classrooms, ”he specified.
Another of the UCV nuclei where rehabilitation and reconditioning work will soon be carried out is that of Cagua, where the Process Engineering career is taught.

The work is carried out in compliance with the instructions of Governor Karina Carpio, within the framework of the plan designed by the National Executive for the recovery of university campuses throughout the country, which seeks to provide young people with decent spaces for study.
