More than 75% of educational staff are vaccinated, ready for back to school

Minister Santaella reported that educational personnel are trained in biosafety

Regarding the return to classes, more than 75% of the educational personnel are already immunized against covid-19, reported this Sunday the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Yelitza Santaella, during the working day to learn about the progress of the fight against covid-19, headed by Head of State Nicolás Maduro.

He pointed out that both the School Feeding Program (PAE) and the equipment of uniforms and supplies will be distributed soon to serve the children of the country. In addition, some 116 educators are in full training in biosafety, to receive their students.

He added that this week with the support of the Ministry of Communication, a campaign will be launched to motivate the care and awareness of the population on the occasion of the return to face-to-face classes on October 25.

On the other hand, he reported that the ministry has met with all unions and private education authorities to collect proposals that condition an efficient and happy return to classes. "We have achieved great contributions in the field of biosafety," he said.

To finalize his balance, he explained that more than 25.000 public schools and 4.100 private ones have been treated and rehabilitated by government authorities.

University education is also reactivated

In relation to this, the Minister for University Education, César Trompiz, specified that 90% of the sector's personnel have been vaccinated.

Through the Bella University Plan, they have recovered more than 2 million hectares between the gardens of the university spaces, he added.

Regarding the restoration work at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), Maduro stressed the resources allocated for the comprehensive restoration of the Aula Magna.

Likewise, he instructed to advance in new technological models for universities and high schools, as well as free internet for all students.

However, he stressed that the goal of building a quality educational system has been achieved in the country, “and we must continue working on that, moving forward with the resources we have. We have to have the best humanistic and technological education ».
