It has happened to many people that when buying a short-cycle item (tomato, pepper, chili) and after using the edible they throw away the seeds, and as the days go by a plant is born and they do not know what to do with it, because it was born in an unfavorable place, and they do not dare to transplant it because they do not know how to do it or, failing that, if the plant it is ready to do so.
The first thing to know is that plants, just like humans, get stressed. To avoid this, they must be transplanted to humid soils or irrigated immediately when transplanting. It is also recommended that the place destined for its definitive growth be conditioned with black earth, rotten sticks, cattle manure (previously dry), since it will help in its growth, care and maximize the harvest.
But how do you know the exact moment for your transfer? At least in the chile it should be done when the seedling has acquired a height that goes from 10 to 12 centimeters; in the case of tomatoes when they have grown between 10 and 15 centimeters; and in the case of pepper, when the plant is 15 centimeters high. This process should be carried out in the early hours of the morning or in the late afternoon.
