Establish biosafety standards for back to school in Guarenas

The directive, teaching, administrative and worker personnel, in addition to the cooks of the Homeland, of the educational institutions of the Plaza municipality (Guarenas), Miranda state, began the design of the academic plan in pandemic by the covid-19 to establish the norms of biosecurity that will be applied during the return to classes, informed the director of municipal Education, Gregory Rojas.

He pointed out that they comply with the guidelines of the Popular Ministry for Education for the development of the Responsible, Safe and Progressive Academic Plan of the Ministry of Education, which suggests that a number of no more than 70 to 80 students should attend every day to avoid overcrowding. massive.

It also provides for hand washing every 20 minutes, which implies that each child must carry soap and water for this, as well as the mandatory use of a face mask inside the institution, in addition to not allowing the entry of students who present any discomfort and who classes will not exceed four or five hours a day.

He explained that Guarenas and Guatire will be taken as a single axis because the number of infections of the disease will be added, even if it occurs in one or another city and will affect the operation of the schools.

"This plan is progressive that it will be adjusted as the population levels off, that is, we will depend on the number of infections that occur in the course of months, weeks and days," he said.

Likewise, the vaccination against covid-19 for children is awaited, because the inoculation of 18-year-olds has already begun.

Rojas stressed that the plan also provides for the activation of the Health Commission of the Educational Council of each campus that will help the adaptation of students to these prevention measures against covid-19 and that will be established in the rules of coexistence of each institution educational.

Another function of the Health committee is the creation of disinfection brigades of the campus, made up of parents and representatives, students and teachers because, as the official commented, it is not possible that the mayor's office can carry out this work every day in the 144 educational institutions.

“This plan will allow a diagnosis to be made to verify how the children are from the academic and psychosocial point of view and once we level them, we can enter the subject corresponding to the programs of the Ministry for Education; the first weeks will be for adaptation and once they are inside the classrooms, the agreement on coexistence in a pandemic will be generated to establish security measures within the classroom, ”he said.

On the other hand, the director reported that Mayor Luis Figueroa gave precise instructions to consider as a priority the supply of water with tanker trucks for the schools that make the request for the vital liquid.

He also raised the willingness to provide the chemical hypochlorite for the disinfection of schools, although this plan has not yet been assembled because it is expected by the formation of the brigades that will be dedicated to this task.

Gregory Rojas indicated that another line of the mayor is to attend to weeding, cleaning and disinfection in the adjacent areas and gardens of educational institutions. Between September 2 and Thursday, September 16, the Venezuela Bella crews had performed.

It revealed that in 2020 in Plaza there were 16 thousand students in 42 national schools, 43 state schools, 27 or 28 private maternity, initial, primary and general middle schools, in addition to ten special education schools and their work workshops.

They await reports of the latest enrollments because apparently there is a ten percent increase in enrollment due to the transfer of students to the Plaza municipality and the migration from private to public education.
