Works to strengthen the health system in Guárico are approved

The governor of the state of Guárico, José Vásquez announced the approval of resources for the execution of new works focused on strengthening the health system in the Llanera entity in order to increase medical benefits for the well-being of the population, noting that this includes 9 projects in different municipalities.

In the first place, Vásquez indicated the approval of the rehabilitation and conditioning works of the “San Rafael de Laya” Outpatient Clinic in the José Félix Ribas municipality.

Within the preventive context against the coronavirus pandemic, he announced the rehabilitation and creation of a Specialized Area of ​​Attention for covid-19 patients at the Dr. Rafael Zamora Arévalo Hospital in Valle de la Pascua. In addition, the rehabilitation and conditioning of Tower 1 of the Olympic Village to be converted into a Health Hospital for the care of nationals.

Likewise, it allocated resources for the start of the second phase of the Athlete's Clinic in San Juan de los Morros, Juan Germán Roscio Nieves municipality. As a complement to the strengthening of services, the construction of the Electromedicine Workshop for the repair of medical equipment in the Roscio municipality was approved.

Rehabilitation of the first stage of the Emergency Area of ​​the Dr. José Francisco Torrealba hospital in Altagracia de Orituco, José Tadeo Monagas municipality. The Rehabilitation of the Popular Medical Clinic in the Esteros de Camaguán municipality was also approved, as well as the completion of the “El Venerable” Popular Clinic in the same jurisdiction.

In turn, Governor José Vásquez approved the rehabilitation of ambulances throughout the Guárico state, which will allow raising the levels of care for medical emergencies in the state.

"We will not stop investment in health, despite adversity, to continue with the main objective of guaranteeing the optimal well-being of our people," declared the Regional President.

Likewise, the sole health authority of Guárico, Dr. Rayner Rondón, stated that the team of the Regional Health Directorate, together with the Construsalud Commission, government, mayor's office and other regional and national entities, work in an articulated way to comply with the immediate execution of the works, noting that thanks to this action it has been possible to recover and strengthen numerous infrastructures in the entity.
