Venezuela registered 1.088 cases of covid-19 this Friday

On Friday, 390 days into the pandemic, the Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, reported that during the last 24 hours the country registered 1.088 new infections, 1.083 by community transmission and 5 imported.

This was announced by the social network Twitter stating: "We have 6.992 patients who are asymptomatic, 7.307 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 509 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 252 in the Intensive Care Unit," he said.

It indicated that the community cases are located in the following states: Caracas 209, Aragua 168, La Guaira 153, Miranda 152, Yaracuy 86, Bolívar 70, Nueva Esparta 54, Monagas 47, Sucre 36, Cojedes 30, Apure 25, Zulia 22, Carabobo 12, Guárico 7, Táchira 6, Anzoátegui 3, Lara 3.

"Caracas today presents the highest number of infections, in 21 of its 22 parishes: Sucre 36, El Valle 28, Altagracia 26, Caricuao 17," wrote Ñañez.

Of the 5 imported cases, 3 come from Panama, with entry through Carabobo, 1 from Brazil, with entry through Bolívar and 1 from Colombia, with entry through the state of Táchira.

Regarding the total number of deaths for this Friday, the head of the Bolivarian Government's Communications portfolio, explained that, “unfortunately, we have 19 new deaths to reach 1.739:

  • - 3 men aged 60, 65 and 74 and 2 women aged 56 and 71 from Caracas.
  • -2 men aged 49 and 70 and 1 woman aged 44 from Miranda.
  • - 2 women aged 54 and 84 and 1 man aged 45 from Aragua.
  • - 2 women of 44 and 77 years of the Sucre state.
  • - 2 women aged 71 and 76 from Nueva Esparta state.
  • - 1 68-year-old man and 1 63-year-old woman from Trujillo state.
  • - 1 64-year-old woman from Yaracuy state.
  • - 1 79-year-old woman from Apure state.

"Condolences to his relatives and relatives," highlighted Minister Ñáñez on the social network Twitter.
