Russian Electoral Commission will send accompanying delegation for November 21

The Central Electoral Commission of Russia confirmed that that country will send an international accompaniment delegation for the regional and municipal elections on November 21.

This was announced within the framework of the visit made by the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Pedro Calzadilla to Russia to participate as an international guest in the legislative elections of that nation, where he held meetings with his counterparts from the Russian Federation , Ella Alexandrova Pamfilova and from the Republic of Turkey, Muharrem Akkaya.

Information from the electoral body indicates that during the meeting with the president of the Central Electoral Commission of Russia, the highest Venezuelan electoral authority highlighted the impeccable work carried out for the development of the electoral process that is carried out in that nation to elect the representatives to the State Duma.

President Calzadilla reiterated the invitation to the Russian electoral body to be part of the international missions that will accompany the Regional and Municipal Elections to be held in Venezuela on November 21.

It should be noted that both organizations have maintained protocols for cooperation and exchange in the electoral field at least since 2012.

The highest authority of the Electoral Power stated that the upcoming Venezuelan electoral process has great significance, due to the effort being made to establish a set of agreements aimed at strengthening the political stability of the country.

Meeting with the Supreme Electoral Commission of the Republic of Turkey

The president of the National Electoral Council also met with the president of the Supreme Electoral Commission of the Republic of Turkey, Muharrem Akkaya, to discuss matters related to the November 21 election and promote rapprochement between the two nations in the electoral field.

The highest Venezuelan electoral authority emphasized the importance of relations between the two nations, which have made it possible to strengthen learning, exchange and cooperation in educational, commercial and cultural matters.

The head of the Venezuelan Electoral Power reiterated the invitation to the Turkish electoral body to be part of the Electoral Accompaniment Program that will take place during the Regional and Municipal Elections in Venezuela on November 21.

Likewise, President Calzadilla proposed to Akkaya to sign a cooperation protocol between the Supreme Electoral Commission of the Republic of Turkey and the National Electoral Council of Venezuela, and thus begin to draw up a joint work route between both electoral institutions.
