A new femicide was registered early this Sunday, in the Ruiz Pineda I community, located in the Valencia municipality, Carabobo state.
Officials from the Strategic Region for Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (Redan Central) of the Fire Department reported that the woman died burned to death during the fire in her home, caused by her partner after having an argument.
It transpired that the person allegedly responsible for the events goes by the name of José Rodríguez, 29 years old, who worked as an officer of the Naguanagua Municipal Police.
The subject had 20% burns on his body, after the building was burned, and he is being held in the custody of the CICPC in the health center near the community.
For his part, the mayor of Naguanagua, Gustavo Gutiérrez, through his Instagram account, repudiated the events and regretted that situations such as these continue to occur in the country. “We will give a truce in condemning and clarifying this type of inhumane actions. The murderer is already at the command of the CICPC and the Public Ministry ”, he commented.
The official report of the firefighters indicates that the third class fire was produced "by an accelerating liquid that possibly gave rise to the igneous phenomenon."
