Boy drowns after falling into underground tank

On the night of this Saturday, December 18, a 2-year-old boy lost his life when he fell into an underground tank located on Paseo Libertador in the San Fernando municipality.

Through a report from the Regional Civil Protection Directorate, they state that the child was playing with other children in the sectors of the well-known San Fernando Boulevard, in which he fell into the underground tank, dying by immersion.

Likewise, Captain Luis Muñoz Torrealba, Director of Civil Protection Apure said that upon arriving at the place of the event, there were relatives and personnel of the State Police, Bolivarian National Guard, public service workers of the capital's mayor's office supporting in the search for the little boy.

After an arduous search by the security agencies, the lifeless body of the minor named Iván González was found, hours before the relatives had reported him as missing, without imagining the unfortunate outcome.

Inhabitants who came to the scene called on the competent authorities to remain vigilant in the face of the deficiencies that some public places in the capital present, and recommended that the pertinent repairs be carried out on the sites that are ready for the enjoyment of the population, at the same time they made a conscience call to all those parents and representatives to be attentive and vigilant of their children.
