Democratic Alliance presented its 23 candidates for governor

Bernabé Gutiérrez was confident of victory

This Thursday and 10 days after the completion of the process of presentation of candidacies before the National Electoral Council, the opposition coalition "Democratic Alliance" that groups 23 parties, announced its 23 candidates for the country's governorships.

In a ceremony where the leaders of all the parties were present, it was reported that after weeks of discussion and negotiations, the following applications were agreed:

  • Anzoátegui: José Brito (Venezuela First)
  • Apure: Ronald Torres (AD)
  • Aragua: Luis Eduardo Martínez (AD)
  • Barinas: Rafael Rosales Peña (Independent)
  • Bolívar: José Manuel Muqueza (AD)
  • Carabobo: Javier Bertucci (The Change)
  • Cojedes: Dennis Fernández (AD)
  • Delta Amacuro: Jesús Chugabi Hidalgo (Independent)
  • Falcón: Daniel Barrios (The Change)
  • Guarico: Octavio Orta (AD)
  • La Guaira: Luis Olivo (AD)
  • Lara: Henry Falcón (Progressive Outpost)
  • Merida: Edgar Márquez (Copei)
  • Miranda: Juan Carlos Alvarado (Copei)
  • Monagas: Johel Orta (Independent)
  • Nueva Esparta: Morel Rodríguez (Independent)
  • Portuguesa: José Ruiz Parra (Independent)
  • Sucre: Francisco Pino (Ecological Movement)
  • Táchira: Laidy Gómez (AD)
  • Trujillo: Conrado Pérez (First Venezuela)
  • Yaracuy: Miguel Speaker (Venezuela First)
  • Zulia: Eliseo Fermín (AD)

In this regard, the Secretary General of Democratic Action, Bernabé Gutiérrez assured that these are the candidates of the true opposition to the Government of President Nicolás Maduro, in clear allusion to other sectors of the Venezuelan opposition that have also announced their candidates in various regions of the country .
