Maduro: there is no reason to speculate on currency reconversion

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Friday that there are people speculating with prices "there is no reason to speculate," said the national leader regarding the new monetary reconversion that came into effect on October 1.

During the delivery ceremony of the Milestone 3 Million 700 Thousand of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission, the Head of State recalled that only 6 zeros were removed from the previous monetary cone. "No one should increase any product and we are going to deploy."

Maduro recalled that a new monetary cone has begun to circulate that will coexist with the old banknote family until the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) so determines.

"Today we begin the monetary restatement and there are people speculating with prices, only 6 zeros were removed from the currency, there is no reason to speculate," said Maduro.

The Dignitary stressed that this year 2021 is the year of the country's economic recovery. "We cannot allow ourselves to take away the economic recovery, economic growth and economic stability that we are achieving by hand."

"I have great faith in the economic recovery of the coming months, in the increase in income," said Maduro.
