Venezuela participates in the Celac Energy Meeting in Honduras

The delegations of the Celac member countries ratified their commitment to the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean

A delegation from Venezuela participates in the VI Energy Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) held in Honduras, in order to address issues related to this sector in the region.

According to information shared by PDVSA In its X social network account, Venezuela is represented by Paola Henao, Vice Minister of Gas of the Ministry of Petroleum; Ronny Romero, vice president of International Affairs of PDVSA; José Soto, general director of the ministerial Office of Integration and International Affairs.

In addition, they are accompanied by Rubén Molina, vice minister for Multilateral Issues and national coordinator of Celac; Yolimar Villalba general director of the Office of the Vice Minister for Latin America; Gustavo Díaz, general director for the Caribbean, and Margaud Godoy, accredited ambassador to Honduras.

During her speech at the meeting, Vice Minister Henao recalled the words of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressing that the South American nation “reaffirms its will to work without delay on the integration objectives, contributing to unity in diversity, given the historical need to be a community of peace.”

He also highlighted that Venezuela has the largest oil reserve in the world and an important gas reserve, a much cleaner energy transition fuel, becoming "a fundamental axis for energy security and stability in the region."

For its part, the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Relations indicated in a note press release that the meeting was conducive for Energy Ministers and authorities representing Celac countries to ratify their commitment to the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean.
