For the constituent and oil expert, David Paravisini, the reactivation of the Puerto La Cruz refinery will regularize fuel production after this facility was paralyzed for four years.
With the start-up of this refinery located in the eastern part of the country, the processing of petroleum derivatives such as diesel, gasoline, diesel and kerosene began.
"With the operation of the Paraguaná refinery and the major maintenance of El Palito, it could reach 30% of the production capacity, which is between 200.000 and 300.000 barrels of cargo oil," Paravisini said in an interview with a local radio station.
In his speech, the engineer expert in energy public policies commented that companies from Russia and Iran have lent their support in technological and engineering matters to carry out the reactivation of the Puerto La Cruz Refinery. Paravisini explained that 300.000 barrels of gasoline and 100.000 barrels of diesel can be extracted from approximately 100.000 barrels of oil per day, respectively.
In this sense, Paravisini called on the population to remain calm and wait for the results of the reactivation of the oil complex, while highlighting the work of the workers.
