PDVSA supplies 10% of Spain's oil

Venezuela sells nearly 65.000 barrels of crude oil to the Iberian country per day

The Corporation of Strategic Reserves of Petroleum Products (Cores) indicated that Venezuela It ranked as Spain's fifth main oil supplier with 10,7% of total supply in May.

The United States was Spain's first supplier, while Brazil was second after tripling crude oil sales to the European country.

In the first five months of the year, Brazil contributed 14,3% of the crude oil purchased by Spain, bringing it closer to the United States, the leading supplier, with 17,3% of the total. They are followed by Mexico (12,2%) and Nigeria (12,1%).

In May, Spain bought 885.000 tons of crude oil from Brazil, tripling the amount purchased a year earlier.

Cores is a corporation whose activity is the acquisition, constitution, maintenance and management of minimum strategic stocks of hydrocarbons, as the Central Storage Entity of Spain.
