The Delta Amacuro Food Staff delivered free food to workers and patients of the Tucupita maternity hospital this Sunday, in commemoration of the 7-year-old Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) in Delta Amacuro.
"This is how we celebrate in the Delta, the #7AñosCLAP🇻🇪, with a visit and day of special attention, to the staff and patients confined in the Maternal and Child Hospital Dr. Oswaldo Brito in the city of Tucupita, an action full of solidarity and the most Profound Revolutionary Love, through the great deployment of the Food Staff in the region, thanks to President Nicolás Maduro, we continue to win," Governor Lizeta Hernández published on her social networks.
At least 60 people, including patients and workers, received prepared food supplements and food bags from the workers of the "Wabinokioda" Delta Social Production Company (EPS), this Sunday.
Luz Milano, representative of the General Staff for Food in Delta Amacuro, reported that the initiative signifies the commitment of the Venezuelan government to vulnerable sectors, in adverse times. She reported that from the food departments, they work to keep the entire hospital complex supplied with food.
Seven years ago, Clap was born amid the severe consequences of the sanctions against Venezuela, which persist to this day, Luz Milano reiterated. Since then, from the Food Staff, they have guaranteed the products to schools, hospitals and communities.
According to the declarations of the Governor of the state, Lizeta Hernández in her local program, Delta Amacuro is one of the states of Venezuela where "the Clap reaches 100 percent of the communities."
Hernández insisted that "even the opponents who demand more sanctions against the country receive the food bag at a subsidized price and I know them."
He explained that this program promoted by the government of President Nicolás Maduro does not condition the sales or benefits of Clap by political, cultural or other type of exclusion. Thus, he added that the Clap is a social action that seeks to minimize the effects of the economic war against Venezuela.
