Filven opened its doors to the public with more than 100 new titles (+ video)

During the opening of the first day of the 17th Filven at the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas, the presentation of the new titles began.

One of the outstanding activities was the presentation of the book "United Slaves" by the Spanish journalist, correspondent for the RT network in Washington, USA, Helena Villar, an act that was moderated by William Castillo and Ignacio Ramonet.

In addition, the public could enjoy the poetry recital "Our Battle of Every Day" by Earle Herrera and Luis Alberto Crespo, Vilma Novick, where the international guest from Argentina, Juan Calzadilla, and the national minister, the minister for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez.

Another of the activities that took place this second day of the fair was the "Electoral Culture" Seminar by the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Pedro Calzadilla, a conservatory that will run until November 7.

Finally, Filven 2021 will continue to develop different activities, in different spaces, until next Sunday, November 14, with the headquarters of the National Assembly (AN) as its main headquarters.

Face-to-face and virtual agenda

In addition to the virtual phase, Filven 2021 will have its face-to-face part this Saturday.

The first activity from 10 am to 12:45 pm will be the Resistance and insurgency discussion in times of siege to the Homeland. It will be held in the Federal Legislative Palace (headquarters of the AN), by Alfredo León, by the Red de Arte Foundation.

At the same time and place but in the Bicentennial room, they will present the mural Conjuga video art, sound art and dance, by WSK Crew (Venezuela), in the Exhibition spaces. Biennial of the South.

From 10 am to 1:45 pm is the international colloquium on Children's and Youth Literature: Reading Children, Creative Children at the Bolivian Museum, with speakers David Figueroa, Olga Cortez, Mario Méndez and José Gregorio González Márquez (Venezuela), apart from Martín Blasco and Vilma Novick (Argentina).

For its part, the Embassy of the Russian Federation (10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.) has its audiovisual conversation 200 Years since the Birth of Fyodor Dostoyevski at the AN.

Raúl Cazal will be at the AN from 11 to 11:45 am, talking and presenting the book The Last Sigh of the Conqueror by Mexican Pedro Miguel. 

From 2 to 2:45 pm at the AN, the Ministry of Science and Technology will present the text The science of Konuco and its integral vision, by Miguel Ángel Núñez Núñez.

At the Bolivian Museum of the AN (3 to 3:45 pm) they will present the book Los laberintos de Trinidad by journalist José Roberto Duque, by Lucrecia Hernández.

And at five o'clock in the afternoon, in the courtyard of the Federal Legislative Palace of the AN, the attorney general of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, will present the collection of poems In a boreal landscape, among other events of the day. l
