Carolina Lehmann, director of the Francisco Narváez Museum of Contemporary Art on Margarita Island, reported on the progress of the project to recover this cultural space, located on Igualdad Street in Porlamar, with more than 40 years of experience in the Insular entity , with a view to its early reopening.
Through the museum's social networks, it was indicated that after the phases of diagnosis, evaluation and cleaning of the building, the recovery of the gardens and outdoor spaces began, to continue towards the exhibition rooms and the vault.
“Simultaneously, we are working on the training and provision of the collection's preventive conservation team. At the Francisco Narváez Museum of Contemporary Art, we continue working for his recovery ”, reads the @museonarvaez account on Instagram.
It was known that the recovery project has had the support and participation of individuals, families, businessmen and professionals specialized in the area of museums and visual arts.
The Francisco Narváez Museum of Contemporary Art has a history of 41 years to its credit, it has produced more than three hundred individual and group exhibitions, including ten sculpture biennials that showed the works of the best sculptors in the country. International artists have also passed through its rooms in an enriching exchange.
