Caught two PDVSA-Gas thieves

The men owned 250 kilos of copper.

The Bolivarian National Guard detained in Anaco, Anzoátegui state, two individuals accused of stealing strategic material from the PTA electrical substation, belonging to PDVSA Gas, according to the version collected on military premises.  

In this case, the detainees are identified as Pedro Rafael Alvarado and Pedro David Flores Chivico, arrested in the Campo Norte sector of the aforementioned Anzoatigue municipality. The men possessed 250 kilos of copper, for which they will be prosecuted for theft of strategic material.  

A similar procedure was carried out by the members of GNB Detachment 512 in Punta de Mata in Monagas state where PDVSA's steam plant is located.  

The military recovered 500 kilos of copper, electrical conductors for oil use, material that was prepared to be stolen from the company. When the copper recovered, an investigation was launched to detect those responsible for the attempted theft, the informant explained.
