GNB thwarted the illegal departure of 30 nationals

The Public Ministry opened a procedure for human trafficking.

The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) thwarted the illegal departure of two vessels that intended to enroute from Punta Pescador, Tucupita, Delta Amacuro state, to Trinidad and Tobago, military sources said.

In the proceedings, they arrested Kherwin Jesús Carreño Betermin, Claudio Flores Medina and Ángel González, members of the criminal group Los Bachacos.  

These subjects already had 30 people on board in two fiber boats to leave for the aforementioned islands. There were 17 adults and 13 minors, according to a report from the military assigned to the Pedernales River Surveillance Station of Detachment No. 61 in Delta Amacuro.
