GNB destroyed clandestine airstrip in Apure

The Bolivarian National Guard destroyed a clandestine airstrip in the Rómulo Gallegos (Elorza) municipality of Apure state, military sources said.   

The procedure was carried out by the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit No. 35, whose agents participate in the Vuelvan Caras operation aimed at patrolling and scrutinizing aimed at locating and disabling unauthorized tracks used by structured organized crime groups for illicit drug trafficking. They presume that in the area there are camps with laboratories for the processing of cocaine hydrochloride.  

Operation Vuelvan Caracas is coordinated by Major General Carlos Pérez Ampueda, director of Special Operations of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb).
