Search continues for victims of crashed plane

Of the three bodies recovered, only that of a minor could be identified.

The Venezuelan authorities recovered, on the third day of the search, more parts of the King 200 light plane registration YV 3296, accident in Lake Maracaibo. In addition, they found belongings of the victims, but they have not found more human remains, so they will continue with the search jobs.

During the 12 hours of searching on Saturday, the members of the Directorate of Prevention and Citizen Security of the Almirante Padilla municipality, the Bolivarian Navy, Coastal Surveillance, PNB, Civil Protection, Cpbez, Maritime Police, Team of Divers and fishermen, did not find any more lifeless bodies. So far only three bodies have been located.

The mayor of the Almirante Padilla municipality, Alberto Sobalvarro, explained that after completing the search work on Saturday, only other pieces of the damaged aircraft could be recovered, in addition to personal objects within the mass of the recovered fuselage.

Without identifying the bodies of the adults

So far, the security and rescue organizations have only been able to recover the lifeless bodies of three people of the eight who were on the plane, which are two adults and a seven-year-old child.

It turned out that the two adults could not be identified. The reason is that the deceased were unrecognizable after the impact. However, the authorities were able to learn the identity of the little boy.

The remains were delivered to the Forensic Pathology Unit of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), for recognition.
Unofficially, it is known that the Wolter family was the one traveling on the plane.
