Ok, let's be frank. This twist of "Elite" - released on Netflix since Monday with a daily episode - has been animated but nowhere near as exciting as a regular episode of the series. Yes, there are many of its protagonists, there is interaction between them, it is cool to see some of those who will not be in the season even outside of Las Encinas and, yes they tie us some loose ends. But no, let's not kid ourselves, we expected many more and I'm sure you agree with me.
Guzmán, Caye and Rebe
As expected, the first chapter is the one that generates the most adrenaline. We have Rebeka, Cayetana and Guzmán involved in a situation with drugs and criminals, a bit childish and pulled by the hair, but what happens. Everyone's performance overshadows and thrills to see them again. So we started Monday with a "rush", as the Spanish would say, that deflates with the days.
Of the three characters in the chapter, Rebbe has the upper hand with his acting and personality. Guzmán and Cayetana are fine, but they do not contribute anything new or so relevant. And the aesthetic that defines the series, the costumes, the sets, the music and even the rhythm of the chapter moves. All of this meshes in perfect harmony.
