The Oscar changed the sign this year and its carpet she left red behind to dress in champagne. Some loved her, others hated her. The stars, however, didn't mind the tone of the catwalk to show off her best clothes.
The fashion for the 2023 edition of the most important film award was marked by black and white designs, and pastel colors, although there were also samples of strong colors. One of them allowed the model and actress Cara Delevingne to show off.
Face delevingne
The Brit shone in a one-shoulder dress from Elie Saab's fall-winter 2021/22 collection, which she accessorized with Bvlgari jewels, including a Serpenti choker studded with 62.85 carats of white diamonds. For many she was the best look of the night.
Florence Pugh
The other side of the coin was presented by the "Midsommar" actress. She wore a wide Valentino dress, shaped like a bodice and a marked bust. He completed her outfit with black hot pants and added sleeves. Some highlighted it as the worst look on the carpet.
Ana de Armas
Although it was not her most impressive outfit, the Cuban actress was among the best dressed at the gala in a romantic Louis Vuitton design. Her mermaid dress in silver silk organza with a skirt worked in petals that recalled the glamor of the time of Marilyn Monroe, whom she brought to life on the big screen.
Salma Hayek
The Mexican failed again when it comes to fashion in another great gala. She opted for a bright orange Gucci dress. “Although her color suits her, she resents the tight fabric on the bust and sparkles on her skirt; nothing elegant, nothing fine”, highlighted the designer Patricia Profumo to Infobae.
Lady Gaga
The “Bad Romance” singer was one of the most elegant of the night in a stunning Versace couture gown. Her outfit with gothic undertones featured a sheer top with velvet boning and a full circle skirt. Drama and elegance.
Elizabeth banks
The actress and director of films like "Pitch Perfect" drew attention for the worse with her black and white layered dress. Her outfit was ill-fitting, and her enormous train was nothing short of excessive.
Angela Bassett
Also on the side of the best dressed. The artist, who was fighting for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, looked absolutely regal in a stunning Moschino violent gown that emphasized her great silhouette.
Lenny Kravitz
The famous rocker did not disappoint and offered one of the most daring -and successful- masculine looks of the night. The “Fly Away” frontman wore a Saint Laurent and Jaeger-LeCoultre outfit consisting of a silk top and wide-legged pants with a wide cummerbund.
Harry Shum Jr.
The “Everything Everywhere at Once” actor was another guy who took a risk. He rocked an Adeam tuxedo ensemble of long white jacket with navy trim, paired with navy pants and a navy silk obi belt.
Nicole Kidman
The Australian opted for a black sequined dress, with two large flowers, by Armani Privé. Her sensual design fit like a ring on her finger. Her hair styling, however, did not convince everyone.
Padro Pascal
The Chilean-American opted this time for a more modern style, although not as risky as Kravitz and Schum. His outfit featured oversized pants and a tall Mao shirt without a bowtie.
Lesley Paterson
The “All Quiet Front” screenwriter won't soon be forgotten by the fashionistas who strewn the champagne Oscar carpet, but not for good reasons. Her bright yellow and pink dress didn't really fit the train, and it didn't fit her figure well either.
