The Puerto Rican Daddy Yankee, self-described "The boss" of reggaeton, will join the salsa singer Marc Anthony as a special guest in his first and only virtual concert "Una Noche", which will broadcast on April 17 from Miami (USA)
In this presentation, the singers will perform De Vuelta Pa 'La Vuelta, their most recent single together, which tops the radio charts and marks the first collaboration between these two Puerto Rican interpreters.
After the announcement, Daddy Yankee appreciated the opportunity to have fused the rhythm of reggaeton with salsa.
"How good that I was able to merge my urban essence with Marc Anthony's corner that I love so much, that corner of him, that musical line where you live the orchestra and all those instruments," Daddy Yankee said in a statement.
“(Marc Anthony) has always been an inspiration for my career, because salsa has always been in my DNA, and since I can remember I have listened and enjoyed his music, since Marc has the ability to transport you to other musical spaces with its sounds and that neighborhood rumba that identifies us Latinos so much ”, he highlighted.
The song was written by Daddy Yankee, Marc Anthony and Édgar Barrera and produced by multi-Grammy award winner Sergio George.
More than 90 countries will join the virtual concert, making Marc Anthony the first Latin artist to successfully unite audiences of this magnitude on a global scale. / EFE
