The Caracas interpreter did not reveal the cause of his father's death, nor the circumstances under which it occurred.

As expected, celebrities and followers did not hesitate to send their messages of support in this unfortunate loss.

In this way, the singer Sixto Rein wrote: “I am with you”, while the journalist Eduardo Rodriguez Giolitti stated: “Wow brother. My very strong hug for you. “The pain of farewell is proportional to love.”

“Strength and faith, dear brother, I love you,” also commented the singer Justin Braham, who worked with Elis on songs such as the corrido “Cantinero.” The designer Hugo Espina also presented his condolences: “Big hug Gustavo. I met your dad, a good man. My condolences,” said Osman Aray.

Karlis Romero, Elis' partner and mother of his two daughters, the singers Reggi El Autentico Juan Miguel, Noreh and Oscarcito, the actors Juan Carlos García and José Ramón Barreto, and the actress Rosmeri Marval, among other celebrities, also shared messages of support during this difficult time.

“I wanted to be a young dad”

Gustavo Elis, as is known, is the father of two girls: Bella Elis and Ciela Elis. On several occasions he has shared how happy he feels to be a father, which he describes as one of the greatest blessings in his life.

“I wanted to be a young dad, it's not that I'm old. He longed to have a child at the age of 23, but God's timing is perfect, he was turned upside down with reversed numbers at the age of 32. But I'm happy that this song (“You Came”) has touched hearts,” said Gustavo in a recent interview with the Peruvian portal Trome when talking about the emotion expressed in that song, in which he announced that he and Karlis Romero were expecting their first daughter.
