Ron Santa Teresa won the medal in San Francisco for the sixth time

Santa Teresa 1796, the super premium rum of the house Santa Teresa, reaped a new medal in the San Francisco World Liquor Competition (SFWSC for its acronym in English), in its 21st edition. The rum competed in the extra category aged where it has already been awarded on five previous occasions.

At the San Francisco World Liquor Competition (SFWSC) Santa Teresa 1796 was honored with a silver medal for her sensory profile and the complexity of her aging process.

“Santa Teresa 1796 is a liquid that, when it comes into contact with wood, is transformed. It is a blend with rums up to 35 years old, which gives it robustness and makes it unexpected ”, he added.

The evaluation process was divided into three stages, which ranged from the blind tasting to match each brand, the individual evaluation of each drink, to the deliberation to award special recognitions in each category.

The San Francisco competition is highly regarded in the spirits world, because the judging panel is made up of more than 40 industry experts, including beverage producers and authors of renowned publications dedicated to gastronomy and style. of life.

Santa Teresa 1796 is an unexpectedly dry, smooth and balanced rum that has been awarded a gold medal at the London Spirits Competition. In addition to accumulating seven awards in 2020 such as gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Best Venezuelan Rum at Berlin International Competition and Silver Medals at the London Spirits Competition and Cathay IWSC; and be awarded at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in New York and at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London.
