Earlier this week, the Pokémon Company announced the classic presentation about its franchise titled "Pokémon Presents," where fans received new news about games like Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and a few others. However, the highlight of this presentation was the new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the new game in the saga exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Scarlet And Violet was revealed a few months ago, thus demonstrating the next generation of Pokémon and a new region inspired by Spanish cities and coasts called "Paldea". Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly will be the new main creatures chosen by our trainer avatar.
As for the legendary Pokémon, they will be Koraidon and Miraidon, a kind of hybrid salamander that will allow the player to move around this new region.

What is the story about in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
This upcoming game will innovate its formula by presenting the player with three main stories in one installment. Unsurprisingly, one of them focuses on taking on all eight Gym Leaders in the region. As a curious fact, the novelty in this arc is that now you can face the leaders in the order that the player wishes.
As for the other two stories, the new trailer didn't detail much more than one "Treasure Hunt" and the other is completely unknown.
Paldea, a new region and the largest in the franchise

Paldea is a land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, moors, and dangerous mountain ranges. To be able to travel through the region, the Rotom Phone will be essential.
This time, the Pokédex will load onto the Rotom Phone as an app just like the map, where you can see all of Paldea and help the player by showing their current location. You'll also see all kinds of information, such as nearby towns, Pokémon Centers, and wild Pokémon.
Differences between Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
Since the first games of the saga, it is customary for two launch versions to arrive, which have certain differences from one another. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is no exception.
As expected, the main differences will be in the main colors of each installment. For Scarlet, the trainer's and your academy's outfit will be scarlet red, while Violet will have violet colors as the main. Another important difference is the exclusive Pokémon of each version. Scarlet will have Larvitar and Stonjourner while Violet will have Bagon and Eiscue.

New characters that will accompany us throughout our adventure
Nemona will be our closest friend, who like us, has the goal of defeating the gym leaders in the region. Arven a great sidekick with great cooking skills and finally, Penny a shy character.
Most likely, the first character we will meet will be Professor Clavell, who will lead us on our adventure through Paldea. Professor Sada and Professor Turo will be teachers for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet respectively. Professor Jacq, who will fill the role as our biology tutor.

Terastal will be the new mechanic of the franchise in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
This new mechanic will allow your pokémon to crystallize, allowing them to look much brighter and also adding some kind of unique decorations to each creature.

The visual section will not be the only thing that Terasal affects our Pokémon, since this will allow it to increase its statistics and change to a new type called "Tera". As could be seen in the trailer, each Pokémon will have its own variant and in the case of Eevee, it could have different combinations. This mechanic can only be applied to one Pokémon per battle, however, it will not go away until the match is over.
In order for Pokémon to become tera-type, a "Tera Orb" must be found, found only through random trainers. Once found, they can be found in Pokémon Centers (which now appear to be gas stations) or by touching natural Tera crystals.
Tera Raid Battles and Multiplayer Mode
As revealed in the first reveal video, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet players will be able to interact in one place with their friends thanks to the Poké Portal. This cooperative experience will allow players to team up to take on Tera Raid Battles, which consist of high-difficulty battles with wild Tera-type Pokémon.

Plus, with the new Union Circle feature added to the Poké Portal, players and up to three friends will be able to adventure together in the same space, cheering each other on while battling wild Pokémon or showing off Pokémon that walk with you.
Customization
Players will be able to wear everything from short sleeves and shorts to warm blazers, the academy has four different types of uniforms in total. They will be able to collect a variety of accessories in the stores and change their style whenever they want.

Physical changes will also be available. From the shape of the eyes and mouth to the hairstyle and color of the hair and eyebrows, players will be able to reflect their image within the game.
Scarlet & Violet will arrive on November 18, 2022 exclusively for Nintendo Switch in physical and digital.
