The former employee of the CIA, Edward Snowden, warned this Tuesday that the rhetoric of the United States (USA) with the balloons in the airspace of the country, as well as the presence of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) seeks to distract journalists from other important issues such as the sabotage against the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
"They're not aliens. I wish they were aliens, but they're not aliens. It's just good old-fashioned engineered panic, an attractive nuisance that ensures NatSec reporters are assigned to investigate balloon nonsense instead of budgets or NordStream bombings. Until next time," he wrote on his Twitter account.
Along the same lines, Donald Trump Jr., who is the son of former US president Donald Trump, also made the same emphasis as Snowden as a joke.
"Here's a nice shiny object to distract you from the fact that we have apparently committed an act of war against Russia... Minor details," he wrote on social media, as quoted by Sputnik.
Snowden's statements are given after the investigations carried out by the American journalist Seymour Hersh, which shows the participation of the United States in the attacks registered in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, last September.
This investigation also revealed Norway's participation in the gas pipeline explosions, described by Russia at the time as "international terrorism"
At the end of September, the AG company – operator of Nord Stream – reported that one of the gas pipeline branches 2 had presented a failure.
The branches are responsible for supplying direct gas between the Nord Stream and Germany.
Subsequently, it was reported two explosions on gas pipeline routes.
