The Iranian capital and several provinces across the country experienced a new series of airstrikes on Sunday, carried out by US and Israeli forces, which severely damaged civilian infrastructure.
Among the most impactful events, local sources in Lamerd confirmed the death of three students and a physical education teacher after a bombing at a school gymnasium, where primary and secondary school students were present.

Impact on media infrastructure
The attacks also struck the building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Agency (IRIB) in the capital. Images captured after the explosions show the sky over Tehran filled with smoke following the direct hits on the state media headquarters.
Despite the structural damage reported at the complex, the state broadcaster reported that its channels are continuing to operate normally so far.
This new wave of attacks deepens the humanitarian crisis in the region, adding to the growing reports of the destruction of non-military targets in residential and basic services areas.
Health and civil defense authorities remain engaged in rescue and transfer operations for the injured in the areas affected by the missile bursts.
